Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is one of the most popular tourist destinations of India bordered by Nepal, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh from all around. It is situated in the Northern part of India with Lucknow as the capital city. This State is geographically, religiously, culturally and climate wise diverse. From the Northern part of Uttar Pradesh originates the foot of Himalayas in contrast to the plains in the South and South East part of the State. This State enjoys all seasons and cuisines like Awadhi Cuisines, Kumauni Cuisine and Mughlai Cuisine which are favorite of India and abroad. The cities are of historical value and have many heritage and religious properties. The cities includes Agra, Lucknow, Meerut, Jhansi which are historical cities and have famous monuments. Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura, Gokul, Allahabad, Vrindavan which are of religious importance for Hindus and considered holy cities. Sarnath and Kushinagar are important Buddhist pilgrimage cities.


NOIDA is located next to the capital city New Delhi having information technology industry and thus makes it more develop then the other cities of Uttar Pradesh.


Agra is a home of many beautiful Mughal buildings which are of very high importance to the tourism industry and are considered world heritage site based on Mughal architecture. The main among them are Taj Mahal, which is carved and made from white marble through out, beautifully carved with colorful stones and four minarets balancing the beauty of main doom of Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is symbol of Love build by great Mughal Emperor Shahjahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Such carving in marble has not been seen anywhere in India. The other World heritage sites are Agra Fort, Sikandra and Fatehpur Sikri made from red stone. The Taj Mahal has a beautiful garden infront and River Yamuna flows behind. The city of Agra is famous for leather products, sweet product named Petha and namkeen mixtures. This city is mix of Rajasthani Culture.

Hindu religious site:

There are holy cities in India as per Hindu mythology namely Allahabad, Varanasi, Mathura and Ayodhya.


It is the second oldest city of the World, famous for its steps along side the river known as Ghatts which are visited by thousands of devotees and tourist all over India and overseas. The city is populated throughout the year with devotees who come here to take dip in the holy river and think of their sins to be washed away with every dip. This city has one of the oldest university of India named as Banaras Hindu University , one of the biggest area in India. The city has old and carved houses and gives a very different sight. This city is famous for textiles especially Banarasi Saris.


This city comes alive with the advent of holy festival and is the birth place of Lord Krishna. Both cities have many beautiful temples of Lord Krishna. It is here the famous Lath Mar Holi is played which makes the celebration very different and special from the rest of India. There is also a huge celebration during Janmashtami.


The city has both Hindu and Buddhist sites which are of heritage importance along with several Hindu and Buddhist temples, monuments and teaching centres. It is also a birth place of the father of Jain Religion, Shri Rishabh Dev. This city is believed to be the birth place of Lord Rama.


Buddhist Religious site are Sarnath, Kushinagar, Kaushambi, Sravasti and Sankassa. Sarnath has an important archaeological artifact of National significance known as Ashoka Pillar with Lion Capital.
