Gujarat within area of 75,000 square miles and population of 60 million approximately is bordered by Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Arabian Sea and international boundary of Pakistan. This state has a capital planned city named Gandhi Nagar. Narmada, Tapei, Sabarmati are three major rivers. The major religions are Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Jainism and Christianity. Gujarat contributes to some of the largest business in India, also agricultural produce including cotton, groundnuts, sugarcane.

The only hill station in the State is Saputara. Gujarat also has museums like Baroda Museums and picture gallery, Kutch Museum and Sabarmati Ashram related to Mahatma Gandhi. Religious sites contribute to the State tourism and which includes temples like Somnath, Palitana, Sun Temple, Dwarakadheesh and holy mosque like Sidi Saiyyed Mosque and Jama Masjid Mosque. The major fairs and festivals are Maha Shivaratri, Tarnetar Fair and Ambaji Fair. The State has 17 airports including Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport in Ahmadabad. The city has well connected BRT bus system.
